Yahoo! has invested in Vlingo, a company developing a speech recognition technology for mobile phones. With this step, Yahoo! has gained exclusive access to a killer technology, in order to empower their OneSearch 2.0 new development.
What makes Vlingo so cool for me is putting a very power-demanding tech into a simple cell phone. Of course, the platforms supported are still very limited, but increasing. Much better, it has a simple Java API to make your own apps. Great.
And for the average user, the very marketing presentation is right calling you for download Vlingo. Just seeing it makes you need it!
