A question about LSDS-IR 2008 and Google

I have recently came across the CFP for the 6th Workshop on Large-Scale Distributed Systems for Information Retrieval, to be held with CIKM 2008. Looking at the Program Committee (that includes people from Yahoo Research an a number of academic institutions), a question arises:

Why are there no PM members from the (believed) most efficient search engine in the world?

If you take a look at the PC again you will notice that there is a person from Google (if you indeed was referring to Google as the (believed) most efficient search engine in the world)
