At this post about ARIA at the Official Google Blog, I have discovered Fire Vox, a voice sinthesis extension for Firefox:
Fire Vox is an open source, freely available talking browser extension for the Firefox web browser. Think of it as a screen reader that is designed especially for Firefox.
When a tool like this appears at the open source world, there is not doubt: the technology is ready-to-market. I wish I had time to make the port to Thunderbird, my favourite mail client.
